How to use Marlek on your iPhone and iPad.
  1. Translate Open Marlek and type in the top box in Spanish: the Marlek code appears below instantly. Tap the swap button to reverse the direction and paste a secret message to read it in Spanish. You can then copy the result.
  2. The system keyboard To write Marlek inside other apps, turn the keyboard on once: Settings → General → Keyboard → Keyboards → Add New Keyboard… → Marlek. Then, in any app, tap the globe icon 🌐 on the keyboard until you pick "Marlek." No "Full Access" required.
  3. The table Open the "Table" tab to see the full key sheet: every letter, number, and symbol with its Marlek equivalent. Handy for learning the code or writing it by hand on paper.
  4. Favorites Save a translation as a favorite to come back to it quickly. Favorites stay on your device (in this version they do not sync across devices).

What is Marlek?

Marlek is a cipher language: a secret code where every letter, number, or symbol is swapped for another character or emoji following a fixed table. Its creator (Slime@YT) invented it. The app translates from Spanish to Marlek and back.

Do I need internet to use it?

No. All translation happens on your device. Marlek works offline.

Why do emoji look odd if I retype them?

Some Marlek symbols are emoji with invisible marks. Copy them with the copy button instead of retyping them by hand; that keeps them exact so translating back works perfectly.

Do my favorites sync between iPhone and iPad?

In version 1.0, favorites are local to each device. Optional syncing through your own iCloud is planned for a future version.

Can the keyboard see what I type?

No. The Marlek keyboard works without "Full Access": it only converts what you type into Marlek. It does not save what you write and has no internet access.

Does Marlek collect my data?

No. Marlek collects no data. No accounts, no ads, no tracking. More details in the privacy policy.

Which devices does it work on?

Marlek is for iPhone and iPad. On iPad it adapts with a sidebar and a comfortable reading width.
